Reality
God exists as a community of love and justice, expressed in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Spirit. God balances this universe He created through these two communal attributes.
Reason
God is creator and abounds in His desire to create. Beautifully, He creates humanity to carry on the divine attributes of love and justice over the earth – knowing, however that humanity will choose selfish desires over selfless giving. A plan to show Earth a better way to live is already determined from the beginning of time.
Redemption
God saves the world through love and justice; love accepts us as we are, while justice matures us to who we should be. Sin, hate, fear, intolerance, evil, bloodshed are all squandered by two simple commands: Love God, and love others.
Reflection
God gives all humanity – even those who don’t acknowledge Him – the ability to reflect His love and justice to show us that He exists and is with us, even when we can’t see Him. Our talents are not to be wasted, our compassion is not to be limited. ALL acts of kindness, all words of hope, all movements of justice matter, because they reflect the heart of God.
Response
God desires to walk among and be with all humanity, and He shows this through our acts of love and justice. “Do you want to come and see what life really is?” was Jesus’ question to a Jewish culture bound by laws of fear and intolerance – perhaps we are not much different today, and perhaps the question is still the same…
